I'm now getting ready for my first academic year at Syracuse University's Setnor School of Music, where I will be teaching chromatic harmony to sophomore music majors and composition lessons to undergraduate and graduate composers. School begins next week!
Meanwhile, there are several projects/performances on the horizon. Soli Chamber Ensemble will be performing Strains in the Signal in San Antonio, Texas in October. A new work for cello and double bass, commissioned by cellist Katy Bell, will be premiered in Inverness, Scotland in November. I'm working on a short song cycle setting texts by poet Judy Grahn for a project with Sparks & Wiry Cries, which will premiere in New York City in January, 2019. Stay tuned for details and updates!
