Deflected Harmlessly into the Ceiling (2013; solo flute) will be performed by Ju Hee Kang at the Charles E. Gamper Festival of Contemporary Music in Brunswick, Maine on Thursday, July 31st, at 7:30 p.m. The Charles E. Gamper Festival is part of the Bowdoin International Music Festival. Deflected Harmlessly into the Ceiling was originally composed as part of a collaboration between the composition department and the flute department at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, Maryland.
On May 22, 2014, Natalie was awarded the Dr. and Mrs. Walter Edwards James Award in Theory at the Johns Hopkins University commencement ceremony. Natalie just finished her second and final year as a theory teaching assistant at the Peabody Conservatory.
This is My Voice (2013) will be performed again this Saturday, May 3rd, at 6:30 p.m. in the Cohen-Davison Theater at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.
Natalie will be a participant and Resident Assistant at the Bowdoin International Music Festival in Brunswick, Maine during the summer of 2014.
The Birmingham Contemporary Music Group will read Strains in the Signal (clarinets, violin, cello & piano; 2014) at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.
The song cycle, This is My Voice (2013), will be premiered by mezzo-soprano Tia Price, several Peabody singers, children's voices and wind band (the Peabody Tuned-In program), and pianist Cameron Wentz at 5:00 p.m. in Friedberg Hall at the Peabody Institute in Baltimore, Maryland. The Peabody Post published an article by Joe Sugarman on Tia Price's Presser Project, This is My Voice (2013). From the article: "'I thought they did an amazing job,' says Elijah Wirth, who, as conductor of the Wind Orchestra, worked closely with the duo as the project evolved. 'Some of the content is very intense, and some is definitely written by 12-year-olds, but at the same time, the way Natalie set it all to the music was very complex and artistic. It's going to come off very well in the performance.'" This is My Voice will be premiered on April 5, 2013.

Caitlin Vincent, Nathan Wyatt, and Bethany Pietroniro premiered Lady Killers: Patience Boston (soprano, baritone & piano; 2013) at Old St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Baltimore, Maryland on October 25, 2013. They performed the piece again at Lehman College in New York City on Halloween, October 31, 2013. The creepy text for this song cycle combines the writing of Caitlin Vincent with a poem by Salita Bryant.
